I barely eaked out an 8 second animation of 2 mice running around in flash today.
It takes so long thats not including colour audio.
I look at whats on the portal and go wow.
But I enjoy it wish I was faster.

Welcome to the animation grindhouse lol. On a more serious note, one thing that I recommend to improve your speed is A LOT of gesture sketches, and quick life drawing sketches! This is one thing that has helped me to quickly convey which position a person/animal will be in, as well as emotions, facial expressions, etc. It has also allowed me to avoid being stuck on one frame for so long, and gives me better consistency.

You can show rough animation using your dumping grounds.
The dumping grounds icon is next to your inbox icon.

You could post them on these things, sometimes people will attach them to their news posts so you can see them immediately. I mean other than just having another site to post them on, some just go ahead and post them through the art portal so that they're there, regardless if they're scouted or not

Found the dumping grounds there in there working on a funny sonic animatic at the mo.
Gona try get it done over the weekend.
It takes time and practice. I blow ass at animating but the things I've learned in the years I've spent doing it has made it easier. Just keep at it. Rome wasn't built in a day.
I know but I want do do it in a day no im taking my tame learning the basics I actually have some stuff in my artists dumping grounds if you wana check it out.
True, but the more you do it, the better you're at it, the faster you'll go.
I haven't tried animating yet, but I'm pretty sure I will be stuck in the same boat soon.
Been working on a few animations in the last 11 months and I still haven't finished one.. haha that's sayin something.
